I’m getting ready to participate in the Longevity Med Summit in Lisbon, Portugal on May 8th and 9th, and am super excited about this event whose essence is “Committed to Global Wellness”. What does dentistry have to do with longevity you may be asking? Everything.

One of the most overlooked aspects of the longevity discussion right now is oral health, but if we’re striving for outstanding wellness, then it can no longer be overlooked. Why? Because not all dentistry is performed to gold standards and not all materials used are the best choice. In addition, most dental treatments age and lose their effectiveness and old dental treatments might be doing more harm than good at an immune level.

Consequently, this means that inflammation and toxicity in the mouth can build and even worsen over time, and without manifesting any visible signs or significant pain. It also means that this inflammation and toxicity can be silently affecting the rest of the body and triggering other health issues.

And that’s why my talk will be entirely dedicated to “Immune Dentistry and how the early detection and treatment of oral inflammation can boost systemic health” because it truly is all connected. And when we successfully connect the dots between optimal oral health and optimal general health we’ll be truly striving towards collective wellness, sustainable living, and being the very best version of ourselves. This is going to be a very insightful event, hope to see you there!
