The founder and CEO of the Lisbon-based White Clinic is one of only two European dentists on the Advisory Board of Harvard University's School of Dental Medicine.
Miguel Stanley was invited by Harvard University to be a founding member of the Clinical Innovation Board of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM).
The Board will be made up of 11 leaders in the field of dental education, clinical scientists and pioneers in this area “who stand out for having introduced innovations in clinical patient care”, reveals the White Clinic press release. Examples of innovative areas include digital dentistry, AI in biomedical imaging and pathology, electronic records, medical-dental integration and models in the delivery of clinical care, among others.
The founder and CEO of the Lisbon-based White Clinic was invited by the Dean of Harvard University’s School of Dental Medicine, Professor William V. Giannobile.
The Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) Innovation Advisory Board will play “a relevant role in guidelines and recommendations related to the university’s clinical vision, promoting innovation in the delivery of clinical care, clinical education in dentistry, labour market outcomes, and clinical research activities,” adds the dental clinic.
Miguel Stanley is one of only two European dentists on this Advisory Board, which also includes dentist Edward Zuckerberg, father of Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Meta.
According to Miguel Stanley, “in medicine, technology and innovation, along with knowledge, is a fundamental pillar in the development of new therapies, in the precision and speed of a diagnosis that can lead to cures and save human lives”.
“Being part of this new international project is another great opportunity to share with my peers our experiences in the practice of oral medicine based on excellence and to give that knowledge back to the academy, its faculty and its students. I can only be grateful to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in the person of its Dean,” he adds.
Miguel Stanley has been an Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine since 2018. He is also the founder of the White Clinic in Lisbon, “a clinic that has a highly-qualified and multidisciplinary team – and is fully equipped with the latest technologies, namely Artificial Intelligence.”
The White Clinic is a technological and digital healthcare centre that has adopted the use of high-tech equipment.
