Today my wife and I visited the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. For those of you who don’t know the incredible emperor who changed the History was born here in Ajaccio, in Corsica.
Corsica is a beautiful island of raw nature and a culture of its own. The Corse, despite being French citizens don’t consider themselves to be French. And it’s just a wonderful, wonderful place to visit.
It was incredible for me to see the place where Napoleon Bonaparte was born, because when I was a kid I actually spent some time in Saint Helena, in the logwood house where he died.
So, I’m not sure many people can actually say they’ve been to both the birthplace and the death place of Napoleon Bonaparte. It is really cool to close that circle.
