Five minutes to change a smile

Five minutes to change a smile

Some time ago, Matilde arrived at White Clinic® expressing her unhappiness. It’s not easy for a young student who has used braces to straighten her teeth for two whole years, to come to the end of that process and realize she doesn’t like her smile after all. She felt her teeth were too small and her gums too prominent, in a smile we dentists describe as “gum smile”.

I can’t emphasize this often enough: it’s not easy nor even natural that a person should have to hide what I consider to be their greatest expression of joy and comfort!

There are many techniques and treatments nowadays, which we can perform to achieve a more aesthetic and harmonious smile. In this specific case, we performed a gingivoplasty contour, a small correction with a huge impact in someone’s smile. It only took us 5 minutes to remove the excessive tissue and give Matilde the smile she’d been aspiring for so long.

We’ve realized this by the wonderful joyous expression with which Matilde said goodbye to us!

The fact that it was created in Silicon Valley by people who had nothing to do with the dental industry, in seeking solutions that do not require complicated appliances in the mouth, is really an incredible story.
